Dr. Anilir Serkan
Born in 1973 in Germany, he is a Turkish citizen, a former Turkish skier, and Turkey's first FIS Olympic medalist. In 2003, he graduated from Tokyo University Post Graduate School of Engineering Research, Department of Architecture with a PhD in Engineering.
Dr. Serkan was awarded the American Medal of Honor and the Award of Physics from Cambridge University for his study in the latest cutting-edge technology. He also has a background as a pilot and trained further as a flight engineer and was the first Turkish nominee for NASA astronaut. Currently, he is an assistant professor in the architecture department of Tokyo University Post Graduate School of Engineering Research. He has been a visiting professor at Rome University and Naples University, and a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of Science and Tsukuba University. Presently, he is developing a new architect theory called "Infra-Free," a technology in which the living space is independent from the infra-structure.
