µG Movable(Bird House)

For every piece of furniture used on the earth, function, shape, structure, material, etc. are always appropriately determined in the gravitational environment. In contrast, in the microgravity environment where humans float in the air, chairs and tables seem to lose their significance. Space enables us to design things from a completely different angle. Liquid transforms into a spherical shape in µG (microgravity) in space, and I took a clue from here in designing the µG Movable. The idea was further expanded to include the image of ecology of birds, so I think the µG Movable can be regarded as roost-like furniture.
Though furniture is usually regarded as something external to people, I propose otherwise. The image of my furniture is that people would crawl into it and be enveloped in it. Inner furniture, as I put it. As for the shape of this work, in the sphere of 1,300 mm (phi)with the transparent opening exists the inner space created by the air film structure, bearing a close resemblance to a bird house. The
µG Movable comprises 12 pentagonal and 20 hexagonal units, 32 units in total. Connected by plastic rivets, the units can be individually replaced when damaged.
Resting posture in microgravity is said to be similar to the posture of the pre-born baby floating in the mother's womb. Indeed, the womb may be the closest cosmic space for humans, given its ability to keep life inside. Micro and macro are connected through a view of life. Space is a great matrix, and this is what I want to express through the
(mu)G Movable.
