This birdhouse is tower, which is the tower for bird.Because I think that now everybody live in the city and more we are living in the city. We create that because we need the tower. This is the tower for, I mean, some bird in the middle of the city. Question of why to have a tower if we have a tower, we need it so light, we need lightness, we need to be, is like a net is like a net, this net is something very light, and these different pieces inside other place to enter different level in the tower. Because if I think about that city usually up to keep flat on the level of the ground flour, you travel and go up, but in the future, because of the more than city of place where we live, we need to come to live in the 3 different dimension. So we cannot only come inside of the tower from the bottom. So city will be something not only today. And for the birds are flying, birds are not flee more light, and in the air, you don't need to come from the bottom. You can come in from everywhere in the higher, in the higher height of the tower.

Questions for Ms. Decq
What did you want to be when you were child?

I think I wanted to be an exploiter. Exploiter, somebody who discover country, things, nature, country and people.
Who was your hero when you were child?
I don't remember the name but I think it was exploiter. I was really interested by people like "Aleed mon freed", who were going to Africa, to discover the desert, to discover all these countries, people who were navigator, people who took the risk to go outside of the country, go to through the ocean, through all the countries, finally complete discovered something else.
What do you thnik of today's environmental issue?
I think that an environmental issue today is really in a critical situation because we live in cities where technology based although technology is not take care about us. If you want to continue to live in the city because we need to, we need to maintain the disappearing nature in a better condition. So to continue to live, we need to limit growing up the city, expansion of the world. Maybe we have to go up in the cities those height has increased. At the same time, if we want to live in correct condition we are able to survive much freer and more space. If there is enough space, we need to go up something very high. But I hope we will exist as natural. What do you think of purpose of art museum? It depends on the types of museum. If it's a museum to maintain historical art or objects, it is to memorize. The place to keep the memory of the world, and to make it possible for everybody to feel rich, to see and to discover the memory that never forgets something. A museum I'm working on now is a 'portfolio'. It is to build for the future, to give people possibility to think, to think about themselves, and to give them pleasure and happiness. This is because when you go to the contemporary museum, you often ask yourself what you see, what meaning of that, what you are doing for though you never know why the artist done a piece of art. So I think that my purpose as an architect for building museum of contemporary art is to give them the possibility to go there to look at the art in the natural way, not sacred like going church, for me the art is not sacred. It's something which remain to the life, all the time evolving. For me, museum is the place where people can move, travel, discover everything through the promenade, through the oak. Usually, museums are thought as a sacred place as they keeps old objects, in other words, dead objects. For me it's not that: museum is something for the life.
Why did you become an architect?
Maybe, to try to give people some better place or space of living. Not question of building something but giving something to people. This is my philosophy. I don't think of intellectual way such as the world should be. I only think to give people happiness. When I was young, I was living in art. I don't know what makes me start studying architecture. I was interested in the subject of the architecture at the beginning. Now I discover that it's for women, and it's not so scientific. Even if it's scientific technology, I do not think defend, I love technology. At the same time, architecture much more to create spaces for people. So it's, in a way, it is to connect people as I said before. It's not to live city and object, space, or building, it's all rest of something for the people. I can't forget people when I think about the architecture.
